TROPICAL POP COAST 05 — SPLIT HORIZON

This composition is built around a deliberate division — not as a rupture, but as a coexistence of two visual states. The horizon is split vertically, creating a quiet tension between shadow and light, density and openness, warmth and clarity.

On one side, deep pinks and dark silhouettes compress the space. Palm trees become graphic masses, almost absorptive, grounding the scene in weight and contrast. On the other, light blue tones expand the composition outward, reflecting openness, calm, and a sense of visual breath. The shoreline acts as a continuous element between these two states, connecting rather than separating.

A large circular form anchors the image. It is neither sun nor moon in a literal sense, but a graphic presence — a stabilizing element that reinforces balance while emphasizing the division. Its softness contrasts with the sharp vertical split, preventing the composition from becoming rigid or symmetrical.

Color is used with restraint and intention. Pink dominates without overwhelming, balanced by cool blues and softened by pale sand tones. Warm highlights appear sparingly, functioning as accents rather than focal points. The palette remains bold, but controlled — expressive without becoming decorative.
